Robert W. Godley, M.D.
Dr. Robert Godley joined Fort Wayne Cardiology in 1980. He specializes in non-invasive cardiology with particular interest in heart disease in women, and echocardiography. Career highlights- Founder of the first mobile echocardiographic service in the United States.
- Co-founder of the Midwest Alliance for Health Education, a non-profit organization to foster health education and research in our community.
- Clinical professor of medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine.
- Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American College of Physicians.
- Co-author of multiple scientific papers.
- Teacher of the Year for the Fort Wayne Medical Education Program.
- President of the Parkview Hospital Medical Staff, co-chairman of the Parkview Hospital Board of Trustees, and founder of the Parkview Past Presidents Council.
Education- Earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Allegheny College.
- Earned a master’s degree in biochemistry at Hahnemann Medical School.
- Graduated with honors from the Medical College of Pennsylvania.
- Completed internship and residency in internal medicine at Indiana University Medical Center.
- Completed a cardiology fellowship at Indiana University Medical Center and Krannert Institute of Cardiology.
- Served as chief medical resident and chief cardiology fellow at the Indiana University Medical Center, University Hospital, and Krannert Institute of Cardiology.
